Winter Olympics at MB Postponed

Due to the cold weather, the 1st Annual Mundy’s Bay Winter Olympics is postponed until Thursday, March 6, 2014.  The details listed below remain the same.

Mundy’s Bay Winter Olympics

February 24, 2014 by · Comments Off · Uncategorized

With the winter season in full swing we would like to celebrate our winter weather and continue building our school spirit by hosting the 1st annual Mundy’s Bay Winter Olympics.  Students in Grades 1 through 8 will participate in this event on Friday, February 28th, 2014.  This will be an all-day outdoor event where students will be participating in a variety of activities such as cooperative games, sports, as well as a few silly and humorous events.  While participating in the Winter Olympics your child will be assigned a team that will include students from all grade levels.  The teams will be led by intermediate students and supervised by school staff throughout the day.

In order for the students to enjoy all the events, it is essential that they arrive to school dressed for our winter weather.  They will be outside for much of the school day.  Layering their clothes would be best so that students stay warm while outside and comfortable inside the building.  Students that are cold will be brought into warming stations, then they will return outside to continue participating in the activities.  We would strongly encourage sending in extra mitts, hats and socks incase these items get extremely wet.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the event please contact the school at 705-526-2091.
